Dave Harrod is a prominent, long-time beekeeper in Philadelphia, best recognized for his leadership within the local beekeeping community. Dave has served as the president of the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild twice and is deeply involved in Guild classes and programs. He first became involved in beekeeping in 2006 after discovering an observation beehive at his daughter's school. Over two decades, he has grown his passion into a minor urban agricultural operation, managing roughly 60 bee colonies across various apiaries throughout the city of Philadelphia.
