Farmed by John Stoltzfus, brother of Stevie Stoltzfus, we might say that John is one of our most skilled farmers. Having studied the techniques of one of our country’s most famous organic farmers, Eliot Coleman, he took it upon himself to master winter green production in an unheated greenhouse. Using several mobile greenhouses, he is able to keep fresh winter greens flowing for longer than most. The accuracy with which he plans makes working with him a pleasure. Several years ago we purchased a quick green harvester for him that made his whole operation efficient enough to lower the price for us, and is one of the largest reasons our greens are as price competitive as they are.
