Funky Fresh Ferments
Funky Fresh Ferments started with a healing, nurturing, drive within Seth Glassman's heart. In the spring of 2014, he made his first batch with that wild looking “SCOBY” floating in the effervescence. He would then gift his brews to quite literally everyone- family, friends, doctors, and strangers. Local businesses started asking Seth to please figure out how to keg and sell it. With no plan or business in mind. He described his brews as “Funky” AND “Fresh”. Thus Funky Fresh was brought to life.
He worked and still closely works with local artists, supporting them by printing their artwork on the label of the bottles. Sponsoring them by bringing healthy booch to their shows. Funky Fresh showcases and supports the beauty that the community of Philadelphia creates.
Today it is owned by him and his wife Raquel Glassman. Raquel fell in love with the wild ferment at a young age. She worked at a kombucha company in Melbourne, Australia while traveling in 2017- Together Seth & Raquel mix art and science to create healthy, living, bubbly ferments. Working with local farmers to bring our community organic, herbaceous, fruity and funky booch! Our Kombucha is a RAW, LIVING, ORGANIC, NON GMO, GLUTEN FREE, and consciously created!
